Thanks for the video. Question: How do you dry out all the paint thinner that has gotten into the main spring barrel? Also, this process removes all the oil from the movement (jewels, pivots, keyless works, etc.) If you don’t disassemble the movement, how can you reach all of these areas to properly re-lubricant the movement?

That's a good one. I spray Ortho "whatever sauce" onto my foundation each Spring to keep the ants from coming into the kitchen and (ultimately) eating the dry cat food we put down. I think this year..it'll be borax & sugar.

Put some gas preserver in it and it will be ok. Or if you can, use gas without ethanol. Ethanol is a engine killer, specialty 2 strike engines...but affects 4 strokes engines to.

Any particular ratio? I am always concerned that too high of a ratio of borax to sugar will make the bait unattractive, so I am probably erring too far the other way. The ingredients are not particularly toxic in small amounts, so I could taste-test it, but I am not an ant, so that wouldn't really tell me anything. I have always dissolved the sugar and borax in water, but apparently that isn't necessary. Maybe a holdover from dissolving borax in honey (sugar works and is cheaper). I find that my baits dry out (not so much with honey), which makes sense, resulting in a solid anyway. Maybe I don't even need to add water when they do. Or even use water at all. I just figured that having a uniform solution, as opposed to a mixture of granules, will keep the ants from tasting a pure borax granule, going "bleaugh" and making the whole bait unattractive.

Being a ASE certified technician I can tell you this is nothing but bull crap. It takes a drill and a lot of know how to get this out and the part off without destroying anything. If it was that easy everyone would do it and they would not be call8ng me. Been there and done that.

My 2006 Sierra bed bolt spun. I got it out using the same technique. I noticed the bed bolt and nut are mis-shapened for a friction fit so it does not work loose. That combined with the rust was too much. Used a lot on penatrating fluid, back and forth, etc, but when I thought is was good to go, the nut spun. Bummer.

This is why I have two ride-ons and two push mowers. I hate working on small engines, so if one piece of equipment dies..I use the backup for the rest of the season. I repair and rebuild during the winter in a heated shop. Seated. With the woodstove going and music playing..plenty of beers at the ready too.

Being a maintenance fitter by trade, I learned that little trick many years ago, but still remains a valuable cost saving tip that you have shared!

Water And a few drops of Dawn, in an old Dawn bottle. Shake then get some in those crevasses as you seperate the rubber.

Sinus infection

I am sorry but this happens mostly when am asleep for 8 hours at night. I live in a one bed room studio. The gas in this case comes from thesink in the kitchen area which is right next to me. I wake up with a strong smell and abnoxious gag sensation in my throat and irritated nose. I can't possibly keep the water running all night? I am considering buying those plugs to seal the sink before i sleep. Would you reccomend such measure?

This Portable AC helps me a lot in my space, saving my energies, time and effot. I know there are compromises especially the electric bills since this is not an inverter, but surely does its job for me. Hope they make an inverter version one day.
